We are now reviewing famous Japanese headphone manufacturer Final Audio’s E2000. E2000 is the 3rd member of budget lineup called E-series. There’s matte black and matte silver colors. Some say E2000 is the bassier E1000, let’s find this out!
Box, Unboxing, Build Quality, Cable
Box is similar to the other Final E series boxes: minimalistic design with plain colors. Unlike Final E500 and E1000, E2000 comes with leatherette pouch and pair of earhook pieces. Build quality is similar with E lineup but they used aluminum housing instead of ABS housing this time. E2000’s back is girlled like E3000, this increases air pressure directed to your eardrum.
Housing: Aluminum black alumite finish(MATT BLACK) / Aluminum silver alumite finish(MATT SILVER) Driver: 6.4mmΦ dynamic driver Cable: OFC cable Sensitivity: 102 dB/mW Impedance: 16Ω Weight: 12g
Thanks to its tiny housing, sound is tranquil, mellow and full. Stage width in between moderate and wide. Especially in instruments it’s quite good at imaging. The mid-treble focus is apparent but E2000 puts some more punchy basses. Vocals mat get louden, instruments sounds still. Percussive and wind instruments sounds spacious. Timbre is natural, there’s no mid-bass hump when trombones and drums sounds at the same time. Accordion, bass guitar and bells sounds in harmony.
Bass, Mid, Treble
Bass is not that bad for its volume and price. With its naturality goes down sub-bass range then bass drops explodes in dense and heavy. I was very amazed in this track. Midrange is satisfactory, treble is sufficient. Even the treble amount is not that much, quality and extension is OK.
Final E2000 – Conclusion
Let’s be honest, it’s not an analytical listening headphone but with its high resolution it does fits for analogue instruments but you can use for electronic musics thanks to its clarity.
